Fr. John Murray featured on Relevant Radio

Fr. John Murray, a Redemptorist mission preacher and former pastor in the Baltimore area, was a guest on The Drew Mariani Show on Relevant Radio January 9. Fr. Murray was invited to tell the miraculous story of his recovery from a paralyzing fall in August 2010. Told by his doctors he would never walk again, Fr. Murray attributes his healing to the prayers of Blessed Francis X. Seelos, an 19th-century Redemptorist whose cause for sainthood needs one more miracle.

You can listen to Fr. Murray's interview here: http://relevantradio.com/audios/the-drew-mariani-show. Select January 9 and click on the link for "Hour 2."

Read more about Fr. Murray's story in this piece from the Baltimore Catholic Review. And you'll find a few more details at the author's blog.

Who are the Redemptorists?

Two thousand years ago Jesus said, “He sent me to preach the Good News to the poor.” Since 1732 the Redemptorists have followed in His footsteps, preaching the Word and serving the poor and most abandoned. Our congregation of missionary priests and brothers was founded by St. Alphonsus Liguori. Like the first Apostles, our mission—and our joy—is bringing the message of salvation to all people. As Redemptorists, we have a special devotion to crib, cross, Mary, and the Eucharist. To learn more, explore our website and connect with us on Google+, Facebook, and Twitter.
