"Let us glory in the cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ, in whom is our salvation"

Today we mark the beginning of the Triduum — Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday — the three days when we remember in a special way the mysteries of our redemption.

At the beginning of the Holy Thursday liturgy, we pray:

"We should glory in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,
in whom is our salvation, life and resurrection,
through whom we are saved and delivered."
