Boston's Mission Church featured on national PBS broadcast, "God in America"

The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, also known as Mission Church, will be featured in a six-hour PBS documentary about the role of religion in the shaping of the United States.

The "God in America" series will air on PBS stations nationwide in two-hour segments October 11-13. Mission Church served as the backdrop for the taping of an interview about New York Archbishop John Hughes. The church will be featured near the end of the first night’s segment.

The basilica is also featured as a stop along a tour of various religious sites in the Boston area. The tour is sponsored by PBS and Sacred Spaces International, and will be held October 9-11.
