It’s been 150 years since the Redemptorists were entrusted with the ancient and miraculous icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. We’re holding a jubilee celebration in her honor and hope you’ll be part of it.
Special events on September 17 begin with a 2 p.m. Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. The principal celebrant will be The Most Rev. Father Michael Brehl, C.Ss.R., the Redemptorists’ worldwide superior general.
The Mass will be televised live on EWTN, and the video feed is also being offered to New Evangelization Television (NET-TV) of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Telecare of the Diocese of Rockville Centre. If you have access to NET-TV and Telecare, please check local listings for availability.
Afterward the festivities will continue on the adjacent campus of Catholic University. At the Pryzbyla University Center, we’re hosting a reception to honor Our Mother of Perpetual Help, complete with heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, dessert, and coffee. Tickets to the reception cost $25 per person.
Please note: Tickets are no longer being sold online, but you can purchase them in the vestibule of the National Shrine before the 2 p.m. Mass on September 17.
