Last Saturday, August 6, the Feast of the Transfiguration, two men took their next steps in their formation as Redemptorists. Anthony Michalik and David Verghese professed vows of poverty, chastity and obedience for the first time during Mass at the Shrine of St. John Neumann in Philadelphia. They will renew their vows for at least three years before making their final vows.
After pronouncing their vows before Baltimore Provincial Kevin Moley, Anthony and David received their profession crosses and a copy of the Redemptorist rule of life.
On the same day, across the pond, three novices from the Redemptorists’ London Province also professed their first vows. The three men were part of the group that spent their novitiate year in Toronto, Canada, with Anthony and David. (Click here for photos from the London professions.)
Please remember in your prayers three more Redemptorists who will profess vows next week in the Caribbean: Calvin Auguiste and Ashford St. Romain, who will make their first vows, and Alistair Elias who will profess his final vows.
