Father Anthony Russo recently was honored with the Lynch Award at the annual Stand Up For Life Dinner sponsored by the Pro-Life Union of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
The award is given to a person who has devoted a large part of his or her life to the support and protection of handicapped people. Father Russo has ministered to the deaf community in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 42 years.
The Lynch Award is presented in memory of Blanche and Thomas Lynch who founded their first home for severely disabled children in 1934.
