Several Redemptorist parishes including St. Martin of Tours in Bethpage, NY, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Brooklyn, Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Ephrata, PA, and St. Mary’s Parish in Annapolis, MD, sent busloads of parishioners to the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., last week. They braved the cold temperatures and snow flurries to speak out against abortion and other attacks on human life in its most vulnerable stages.
In addition, Fr. Daniel Francis, from the Redemptorist Office for Mission Advancement, carried to the March for Life one of several baby blankets that were created through the generosity of the Redemptorists’ donors and benefactors. Each blanket contained messages and prayers of hope and love for mothers experiencing crisis pregnancies and their babies. The blankets were donated to a crisis pregnancy center in Maryland.
