Open to Catholic school students in grades 6-12, this year’s essay theme is "Why is it important to learn about and live my faith?" Entries must be received by February 13, 2012.
There will be two categories of judging: grades 6-8 and 9-12. The first place winner in each category will receive a $300 scholarship and a certificate; additionally, two honorable mentions of $100 and a certificate will be awarded in each category.
We received more than 2,000 entries from across the United States in the contest’s inaugural year last year. The essays were inspiring and a true testament to the lasting legacy of St. John Neumann, whose 200th birthday we continue to celebrate through June 2012.
