The Lord is risen! Alleluia!

The feast of Easter is the most important feast of the liturgical year and of our lives. When Jesus rose from the dead, He proclaimed to the world that He had conquered sin, suffering, death and Satan. He was shown by God to be the Messiah of all people.

 

This is the experience of Easter — allowing Jesus the Christ to be risen within us so that nothing can have power over us except Jesus Himself.

 

We may sin. We may suffer. We will even die, but death is not the end but the beginning of an eternal life in and with God. Satan daily tries to tempt us away from our faith. But Jesus conquers sin, suffering, death and Satan every day.

 

We are children of God, and our undying Christ daily clothes us in the love of His Father and His risen life.

 

Heaven begins on earth and it is not something to be celebrated in private! What a poor celebration that would be!

 

No. We must share it with everyone around us. This is the proclamation of the Good News!
