VOCATION NEWS: Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe

The pictures here show the celebration of Guadalupe that took place on December 10, the 2nd Sunday of Advent at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. In procession is Pastor, Fr. Al Riquelme, C.Ss.R. and Associate Fr. Fabio Marin, C.Ss.R. The procession began at 10:00 a.m. and circled around the grounds and cemetery of the Church. Mass at 11:30 a.m. followed.

There was a bit of rain as procession got underway, but it tapered off. A very faith-filled parish community with great pride in their Mexican culture and history.

Both parishes celebrated nine-day novena in anticipation of the feast day with evening rosaries and music, posadas and processions.

It was wonderful and inspiring to see the active ministry of our Redemptorist Community there - Fr. Al Riquelme, Fr. Brian Vaccaro, Fr. Fabio Marin and Fr. Mike Koncik. Fr. Mike (Tke) will soon be undertaking prison ministry there in NC.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, pray for us.
